May 18th Trailer Update - After we moved all the boxes out of the trailer last Saturday and took new pictures in the light I have been inundated with interest about the trailer especially on Facebook marketplace. I'm lowering the price by $150 to compensate for the cost of someone fixing the stuck slideout but would like to get this trailer sold this weekend. I have an offer a little lower than $2100 that I am going to take on Monday if I can't sell at $2100 this weekend.

May 15th Trailer Update – I have so many people interested in the trailer that I have put together an executive summary.

It has been so weird selling this trailer because there are 20+ people who have messaged me, but only three have actually come out to see it. I just got back to Tulum. I was at the trailer on Saturday, cleaning it up. When we moved out the boxes, we discovered water damage / weak spot in the floor in front of the fridge. There also appears to be some water damage to an exterior wall where a 4-5 inch by 1 inch seam opened on the front left-hand side of the trailer. One guy brought a battery with him and was able to test out the AC and electrical system. He said everything was working well, BUT the slide-out was seized. He is coming back to fix it and claims he will buy it if he can fix it.

As Is Sale – I have been brutely honest about the condition of the trailer and have identified every issue that I know of that has been identified to me right after I find out about it. I have explained that this is not a $2250 trailer but a $7500 trailer that needs $1000-$2500 worth of work. If you are a handyman and have the time then the cost is $1000-$1250 worth of carpet, plywood, paint and linoleum + your time. If you aren’t a handyman then it is the same $1000-$1250 cost of materials + $1000-$1250 to have someone do it for you. If you aren’t interested in either option and are looking for a 5th wheel travel trailer with a bunk room ready-to-roll, then your cost will be $7500+.

Remote Sale – Some folks that have contacted me are worried about the fact that this will need to be a remote sale because I am living in Tulum, Mexico. I don’t understand this because I am obviously the owner of the trailer. Anyone can verify with Cheat Lake Storage that I have been storing the trailer there for 2 years. I have the title and can, and have, sent folks pics of the title, my VA driver's license and passport. I am a public figure (former publisher of Telepresence Options and current author of “Government” – The Biggest Scam in History… Exposed where I write under the pen name Etienne de la Boetie2. I am the founder of the Art of Liberty Foundation ) You can see dozens of pictures and videos of me on-line and I can do a video call with you so you can verify it is really me. I have 1500+ friends on Facebook and 1500+ business colleagues on LinkedIn.

Remote Sale Logistics: Two Flavors: Flavor #1 - Easy - 1. I send you a signed letter outlining the terms of the sale. 2. You send me the money. 3. I send you the title. Flavor #2 - Still easy with Escrow - I am happy to use an escrow service of your choosing if YOU pay the escrow service fee. You pay the Escrow service, and they pay me once you receive the title. This is what EBay Motors recommends for remote sales done on their platform and they use/recommend Escrow.com https://pages.ebay.com/motors/escrow/index.html

I understand completely that some people prefer to shake hands and do everything in person. I was back in the US last week and was at Cheat Lake storage with the title in hand, but three of the people who were supposed to come and see the trailer didn’t.

Due Diligence – You can inspect the trailer at Cheat Lake Storage outside of Morgantown, West Virginia. The address is: 858 Tyrone Road, Morgantown, WV 26508 Their Number is: (304) 296-9601

May 11th update: We just spent 1/2 a day doing a massive clean up of the trailer. We had limited time and didn't have a battery to open the slide out but if you saw the initial pictures you can see that we removed all the stored boxes. There are new pictures.

I have a 2003 Forest River 5th Wheel Travel Trailer that I have just reduced the price of by $500. It is a "fixer-upper" or "handyman special." However, the trailer is in great shape structurally and had new tires and new bearings installed in May of 2022. Where the vehicle was also water-sealed as well.

There is a master bedroom with a queen-size bed that needs a new mattress and a bunk bedroom with two bunk beds. There is a single slideout. When the slideout is open, there is a very large living area.

The slide-out requires a new battery to operate. Everything (Fridge, oven, water system, burners, heater, etc.) worked the last time I used it here, but that was eight years ago.

Full Disclosure: when in storage some mice had a party. We cleaned up the the overwhelming majority of the mess but the carpet and upholstery needs to be cleaned or replaced. There is an area of rotten floor i. Front of the refrigerator that we found when we moved the boxes on May 11th. If someone spent $2000-$2500 to replace floor and carpet, reupholstery and basic exterior paint, it would be worth $7500+ It is killing me that I don't have the time to do it myself, so someone gets a deal...

EXTRAs
Kerosene heater, fuel can, extra wick
There is a $250+ portable greenhouse still new in the box in the under camper storage area.

She is being sold "As Is".
