There is an issue with the battery as well where the laptop always has to be plugged into a wall. It may be fixable by simply buying a new battery but I honestly have no clue.
The laptop comes installed with Windows XP and OpenOffice. I also have a program that boosts the core speeds up to 2GHz. There are no backup CDs.
This is a great laptop that has lasted me a number of years. I recently purchased a new one, though, and am looking to find a great home for the V6000. For the past year it's mainly been connected to a tv and used as a desktop replacement. I will include an S-video as well as audio cables if you would like. It can play recent games such as Sims 3 and FFXI. It's also Vista compatible if you would ever want to go to it and, I believe, it has the capabilities needed for Windows 7.
